Who I am

This site belongs to James Kirby, a filmmaker and colourist based in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I decide how the personal details collected through it are used. You can reach me at jameskirbycreative@gmail.com.

What I collect, and why

If you write to me, through the contact form or by email: your name, email address and message, so that I can reply. I keep these while we are in touch and for up to two years after, then delete them.

If you download the free LUT or buy a LUT, Gumroad handles the download and payment as the seller, and shares your name and email address with me. I use them to send you updates to what you have and, now and then, news of new looks. Every email has a way to stop them. Gumroad’s own privacy policy covers what Gumroad does.

When you visit, Cloudflare, which hosts this site, handles your device’s internet address to deliver the pages and keep the site secure. This site has no cookies and no adverts. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits (which pages, which site sent you, your country and type of device) without cookies and without identifying you. Its fonts are served from the site itself.

If you press play on the Music page, the song plays in YouTube’s player, and YouTube’s own policy applies.

Why I am allowed to

I use your details to do what you asked (to reply, or to deliver your files) and in my legitimate interest in running this site. I send news only to people who are happy to receive it, and you can say no at any time.

Who else sees them

Gumroad (sales and downloads), Cloudflare (hosting and visit counts), YouTube (the songs, when you press play), the service that delivers the contact form to my inbox, and Google (my email is Gmail). Some of them keep data outside Thailand, the UK and the EU, including in the United States, under their own safeguards. I never sell your details.

Your rights

You can ask me for a copy of your details, to correct them, to delete them, to stop using them, or to send them to you or someone else, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Email me and I will answer within 30 days. If you are unhappy with how I handle your details, you can complain to Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Committee, the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office, or the data protection authority where you live in the EU.

Children

This site is not meant for children, and I do not knowingly collect their details.

Changes

If this page changes, the date at the top changes too.

Links to Instagram, YouTube, Amazon and Gumroad take you to their sites, where their own policies apply.
